Q What is Express Pay Online?
A Express Pay Online is a Web-based payment service, enabling a customer to make a single payment of a New Jersey Natural Gas bill online.
   
Q Is there a fee for this service?
A New Jersey Natural Gas charges a fee of 70 cents per transaction to use this service. There will be a $10 charge added to your account for each payment returned by the bank for insufficient funds, stopped payment or if the authorization is revoked by the customer.
   
Q Does this service require any special software?
A There is no special software required to use the service. All you need is a browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Version 4.0 or higher, or Netscape Navigator, Version 4.0 or higher.
   
Q What information do I need to pay my bill using Express Pay Online?
A You will need to enter your name, exactly as it appears on your New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) bill, and your NJNG account number, without the dashes. You can find this information on a recent copy of your NJNG bill. You will also need to enter your checking account number and the bank routing number.
   
Q How do I know my payments are secure?
A Your trust and online security are very important to us. This service uses state-of-the-art encryption software and hardware to protect your information. For more information, view our Privacy Statement.
   
Q Can I use a credit card to make a payment?
A Yes, you can pay your New Jersey Natural Gas bill using a major credit card or debit card through Princeton eCom. Princeton eCom charges a $4.95 fee per transaction. Visit My Account Services at njliving.com and select COLLECTpay Direct.
   
Q How often can I use Express Pay Online?
A You may use this service to pay your New Jersey Natural Gas bill anytime. All you need to do is logon and enter all necessary information each time you choose to use the service. This is not a recurring bill payment service. There is a 70 cent fee per transaction.
   
Q Do I need to pay the full amount due?
A When making a payment, the service will automatically fill in your total amount due. You have the ability to change this payment amount if necessary.
   
Q When is the payment actually made?
A The payment transaction is made once you select the "Confirm" button on the payment screen. You will have the ability to modify your payment selection before selecting "Confirm." After clicking the "Confirm" button, you will see a payment confirmation screen. Please remember to print this confirmation for your records and to deduct the payment amount from your bank account records.
   
Q When will the payment be deducted from my bank account?
A The amount will be deducted from your bank account the next business day after you have initiated the Express Pay payment. Payments made after 4:30 p.m. will take two business days to be processed.
   
Q Can I pick the date when the payment will be made?
A No, all payments processed are for the current business day only.
   
Q Can I make a payment on more than one New Jersey Natural Gas account with this service?
A Yes, but each account number must be paid individually and there is a 70 cent fee per transaction. You may issue as many individual payments as you wish.
   
Q If my bill contains charges other than New Jersey Natural Gas charges will they be included in the amount due, and can I pay them?
A Yes, all charges due are included in the amount due and can be paid through this service.
   
Q Can I pay my bill by phone?
A

Yes, we are offering Express Pay by Phone. Using a touchtone phone, simply call 1-800-221-0051 in New Jersey, or 732-938-7977 outside New Jersey, and follow the telephone prompts. There is a 70 cent fee per transaction to use this service.

Q What do I do if I am having trouble with this service?
A If you are experiencing problems with the service, please send an e-mail with your name, account number and a brief explanation of the problem to: sitesupport@njng.com. We will make every effort to respond within two business days.
